SUMMER FAMILY STORY TIME

JUNE 26 - AUGUST 14 (NO STORYTIME ON JULY 24).  FOR CHILDREN OF ALL AGES, ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.  Families are invited to enjoy stories, songs, and finger plays presented by our children’s librarian. This program is geared for toddler and pre-school children not yet comfortable leaving their parent/caregiver.No registration required.

PARENT/CHILD BOOK GROUP

FOR CHILDREN ENTERING GRADES 3 - 5, ACCOMPANIED WITH A PARENT.  For our next book club evening, please read, Honey by Sarah Weeks and come prepared to discuss your favorite parts! Lead by our children librarian, the group meets monthly, however there will be NO book group in July.  Books are on hold at the circulation desk and available after May 25 to check out. No registration is required.

We’ll provide all the Legos, you bring your imagination.  Creations will be photographed then dismantled for our next Lego Lab! BUILD A BETTER WORLD with WILD WINGS

For children of all ages and their families. Come learn about birds of prey at this incredible presentation by our friends of Wild Wings. They’ll be bringing along owls, a falcon, a hawk and even a turkey vulture. (Children ages 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult) Did you know that even dogs like to listen to stories? Come read to real live therapy dogs from “Tales for Tails.” (Reading counts toward meeting your contract!)  Drop-in, no registration required. You will sign up for reading time slots upon arrival. 


ICE CREAM TRIVIA

For All Ages. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult. In honor of National Ice Cream month, the Penfield Library is hosting a fun trivia game! Teams will compete to win a fabulous prize and afterwards, enjoy some delicious ice cream. Yum! THE WATER EDUCATION COLLABORATIVE WITH ROCHESTER MUSEUM SCIENCE CENTER

Join the RMSC Players as they present a fun and interactive program about how we all can protect our watershed. You might ask what is a watershed, come and find out! This program sponsored by The Water Education Collaborative.
