 PointsettiaUnique, Creative and Inspiring Ideas for the Holidays: On Tuesday, December 2 at 7:00 p.m., Mary Jo Lane of MJ Creative Gardens will present a program filled with holiday gift giving ideas, home decor, accents, timeless treasures and inspirational designs to craft or purchase for the ones you love. The program will include a crafting demonstration, and holiday raffle prize. Come join us in the fun, excitement, and joy of the season.  REGISTRATION began on November 18.

 BooksThe Friends of the Penfield Public Library have unveiled a new opportunity for the public. Gently used books are available for a donation of $.50 per soft cover and $1.00 per hardcover, payable at the circulation desk. These books include adult fiction, young adult, children’s, art, history, cookbooks, hobbies and crafts, religion, and general non-fiction. Shelves are restocked frequently. The money raised from these donations is used to benefit the programs and services of the Penfield Public Library. The books are displayed in neat categories on shelves behind the photocopier.

  Holly and CandleThe Origins of Christmas Customs: Get in the Christmas mood with this fun presentation that looks at the origins of a variety of Christmas customs. Christmas is a holiday loaded with traditional customs covering decorations, food, song, and just about every other aspect of the festivities. The story of how many of these customs originated and developed is fascinating and educational. Why do we decorate with holly? What was the first Christmas carol? Join us on Tuesday, December 4 at 7:00 p.m. as Jack Kowiak answers these and many other questions.  REGISTRATION began on November 20.

Whether inside or outside the library, just go to , upload your document, then pick it up using our document station. Our station will remember your document for 3 days.  The cost is 15¢ per black and white side and $1.00 per color side.
