HOMESCHOOL BOOK CLUB

Join our fun book group which meets the first Thursday of every month.   Join our fun book group which meets the first Thursday of every month. Prior to the meeting, please read The Reader (Book One of The Sea of Ink and Gold) by Traci Chee. Registration is not required.
Set in a world where reading is unheard-of, Sefia makes use of a mysterious object to track down who kidnapped her aunt Nin and what really happened the night her father was murdered.
 


MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR COLLEGE VISITS

For teens and parents  Visiting colleges is an important part of the college choice process. Preparing for those visits can help you determine whether the school is a place you can grow and thrive, as well as enhance your admissions status (learn what it means to “demonstrate interest” and set your application apart!). Spend an hour learning about how to evaluate a school when you are on campus, developing a list of core questions to ask as well as key elements to identify. Food, dorms, health care, course selection, professor availability… All of these and more will be explored! This program will be presented by College Admissions Consultant Jodi Rosenshein Atkin. REGISTRATION is required and begins February 20.
 


Watch Doctor Strange

Grades 9-12 Registration is not required.  Meet up with friends at the library after school. Here’s what’s happening this month: March 7- Watch Doctor Strange (Disney, 2016, Rated PG-13) and do Comic Book Art (due to the running time of the movie, this Teen Tuesday will last until 4:30 pm) 


National Potato Chip Day & Super Smash Bros Tournament

Fragrance Day

KNIT A BEANIE

Thursdays: March 23, 30 & April 6 (attend all three classes)  Grades 6-12
Knitting expert Tamara Kelley is coming back to teach participants how to knit a cool beanie hat! This is an intermediate knitting class (participants should know how to cast on, knit stitch, and bind off). Supplies will be provided, however you may bring your own Red Heart (or other brand) worsted weight #4 yarn and 4 size 8 double point knitting needles if you wish. REGISTRATION is required and begins on March 9. Limited to 8 participants.
 


Karaoke
