 First Wednesdays for Small Business – The Central Library of Rochester & Monroe County and the College at Brockport’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) present “First Wednesdays,” a free monthly series of programs for business professionals and aspiring business owners.  The programs take place the first Wednesday of each month from September through June at the Central Library’s Kate Gleason Auditorium from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For a List of Upcoming Small Business Programs, Check the Events calendar.   


Small Business Resource Center - How do I write a business plan? What do I need to set up a business at home? Where can I find financing? What’s an industry survey?   

To find out the answers to these and other questions, visit the Small Business Resource Center of the Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County. Located on the 4th floor of the Bausch & Lomb Public Library Building, this collection contains materials on all aspects of starting and running a small business. Some of the topics covered include: entrepreneurship, start-up and financing, accounting, advertising techniques, business plans, home-based and specific kinds of businesses, management principles, personnel issues, and taxes.  To schedule an appointment with a Business Research Specialist call 585-428-8130.
