Summer Reading 2017
June 30-August 18

Summer Reading is a great way to keep your child's mind active and ready to learn in the fall. Studies show that kids can lose an entire grade level over the summer if they do not read. This program is meant to keep your child reading while having fun!

The program is simple:
  • Keep track of how long children read/are read to on a time log.
  • Completed time logs are turned into the library for a small prize.
  • K-2nd graders earn a prize after completing 3 hours of reading.
  • 3rd-5th graders earn a prize after completing 5 hours of reading.
  • Babies, toddlers, and preschoolers earn a prize after completing a pre-reading activity sheet.
  • Every completed time log is entered into a weekly drawings for museum passes and a grand prize drawing for a Barnes & Noble gift card at the end of the summer.
  • Enter to win free tickets to Seabreeze just by registering!
