Programs and Activities at the Monroe Branch Library


In addition to the events listed below, the Monroe Branch Library has a number of programs and activities available for library visitors.

What's happening in the Children's Room?  

   Have fun building special structures with our LEGOS!  LEGO Club meets every Wednesday from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.




      Save the Date:  May 5, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.  for our Art Opening!  Enjoy the modern, abstract paintings of artist, James Greco, and the work of

    photographer, David Kotok.  As you explore this beautiful artwork, enjoy the music of Bach, Mozart and other string duets performed by

     Stephanie Polowe (violin) and Ian Downey (cello).  Refreshments will be provided.


TASC Tutoring is available every Friday from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.


Our book Club will be meeting on Wednesday, May 17, @ 1:30 p.m.  They will be discussing the book, "Under the Udala Trees" by Chinelo Okparanta.

Babies & Books

Monroe Branch - Children's Room
Age Level: Child -- 0 mos. - 18 mos.
Join us at the Monroe Branch for a drop-in baby story time! Enjoy books, songs, rhymes, and fingerplays with your baby, while you both get a chance to socialize. Ages 0 -18 months with caregiver(s); older siblings are welcome to play quietly or participate.
