Programs and Activities at the Monroe Branch Library

 

In addition to the events listed below, the Monroe Branch Library has a number of programs and activities available for library visitors.

What's happening in the Children's Room?  

   Have fun building special structures with our LEGOS!  LEGO Club meets every Wednesday from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.

 

Cursive Writing Camp: Learn to read and write more than your name at this fun and interactive camp!  3rd grade and up;

 Dates: July 11, 12 & 13 and July 18, 19 & 20, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.     Limited to 10 students. Registration is required.

 

Adult Book Discussion: June 21 at 1:30 p.m.  The book "Hidden Figures" by Margot Lee Shetterly will be discussed.

 

MUSICAL MONDAY: CELEBRATE JAZZ!  Monday, June 26, from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

  The School of the Arts (SOTA) Jazz Combo will join forces with several members of the Eastman Youth Jazz Orchestra (EYJO) to play a wide-ranging repertoire, spanning material from the 1930's to modern jazz originals.

  

 TASC Tutoring is available every Friday from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.  This service is free.

 

Special Services we offer: 1.  Notary Public is available on the following schedule: Mondays: 4 - 8 p.m.; Tuesdays: 3 - 6 p.m.; Wednesdays: 4 - 8 p.m.; Thursdays: 3 - 6 p.m.; and every other Saturday from 10 - 2 p.m. (Please call on Saturday to make sure the Notary is available that day.    2. We sell postage stamps to our patrons.
