Teen Writing Group

Are you ready to write creatively? Come hang out this summer and learn creative writing or build on skills you've already gained! Join other teens in thoughtful and silly prompts and writing games for creative writers of all kinds! You'll have plenty of time to get creative and write while exploring some of the different styles and genres of writing. We will encourage each other and welcome those who'd like to share work. Our group goals are to exercise our imagination, improve our writing, and get a few pieces of work started that we'd like to expand on! Come join us for a great creative experience and some snacks! No registration required. Grades 6-12. Fridays, August 4-25.

ACT Practice Test

For students in grades 9 - 12. Prepare for the ACT by taking a practice test under simulated test conditions. Chariot Learning will proctor an officially released, full-length exam with multiple students. After the test learn how to score the exam and interpret the results.  Bring pencils, snacks and a calculator. Teen Pizza Fridays

Come have pizza and snacks and relax at the CPL after the library has closed for the evening!  During the summer, Teen Pizza Fridays will be held on the second and the fourth Friday each month, with the second Friday being a cookout Friday! We will be grilling out instead of having pizza and we will have our event outside (weather permitting.) There will be games, crafts, and other activities available to take part in if you want! MIDDLE SCHOOL GAME DAY

Grades 6-8. Join us for the first of a monthly game series, presented by members of the “E for Everyone” St. John Fisher Game Club. This month will feature cooperative games, in which players work together to defeat a common enemy or meet a shared goal. We'll be playing Space Alert (a sci-fi game), Dead Men Tell No Tales (a pirate game) and Grizzled (a WWI game). No prior knowledge of the games is required. Free snacks will be provided, thanks to the Friends of PPL.  REGISTRATIONis required and begins September 15.
