Libraries are only handing out glasses at eclipse related programs.Solar Eclipse 

 On Monday, August 21, 2017, the Moon’s shadow will sweep across the continental U.S. in a solar eclipse and Rochester will see the sun 70 percent eclipsed. Join MCLS libraries throughout the month of August to learn about solar eclipses and view this special event. A full list of participating MCLS libraries and related events is listed below.

Mobile Printing Now Available through the Central Library

Mobile PrintingThe Central Library is very happy to announce that we are now able to offer Mobile Printing. What does this mean? Anyone can print from any personal laptop, computer or mobile device to the library's public printers using an internet connection. The job will stay available for 72 hours after submission, and can be picked up during normal business hours. Printing charges will be the same as if you are inside the library - BW .20 / COLOR .50 per page. Attached you will see instructions on how to access the mobile print service using 3 different methods - a website, an app, or by email.

Glimpses of Greece Photo Contest

Photo ContestDo you have a passion for digital photography? Do you take pride in your town? The Town of Greece contains over 764 acres of park land, 8 miles of Lake Ontario shoreline and 17 parks. What is your favorite “Glimpse of Greece”?

Attend a photography workshop at the library. Get inspired by checking out the latest photography library books. Use your new skills to enter the 3rd Annual Glimpses of Greece Photography Contest. Contest and workshops are for adults and youth ages 13 and older, and are sponsored by the Friends of the Greece Public Library.

OverDrive Cancels Nook Periodicals

OverDriveOverdrive is discontinuing their Nook periodicals platform. As a result, as our subscriptions expire (the bulk of our titles expire on April 8), we will lose access to many of our digital magazine and newspaper titles. Overdrive is working on a new digital magazine platform, but is not yet ready to launch it. We regret any inconvenience this has caused customers. We realize that this has been a very popular service and we are looking at alternate sources for digital magazines and newspapers.
